Statement of Purpose

ENDOIIMENT LTD (the “Organisation”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to preventing and responding to risks of harm and promoting the welfare of all children and adults at risk who engage with our services. These individuals are referred to as Beneficiaries throughout this Policy.

We recognise the importance of safeguarding and are committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all Beneficiaries, without discrimination based on age, disability, race, religion or belief, sex, gender reassignment, pregnancy or maternity status, marriage or civil partnership status, or sexual orientation.

This Policy is based on safeguarding laws and statutory guidance applicable in England, Wales, and Scotland. In the event of any inconsistency between this Policy and applicable safeguarding law, ENDOIIMENT LTD will always follow current legal requirements.

This Policy sets out how ENDOIIMENT LTD meets its safeguarding responsibilities as a private limited company and an organisation that engages with children and adults at risk across its activities.

Scope of This Safeguarding Policy

This Policy explains the safeguarding practices ENDOIIMENT LTD adopts to protect Beneficiaries and the standards of behaviour required from all Staff Members.

This Policy applies to all ENDOIIMENT LTD activities that involve children and/or adults at risk (“Relevant Activities”). These primarily include:
a. Running sports and wellness events for vulnerable adolescents and adults.

This Policy applies to all individuals working for or acting on behalf of ENDOIIMENT LTD, including senior managers, officers, employees, consultants, trainees, part-time workers, casual workers, agency workers, volunteers, and interns (“Staff Members”).

This Policy does not form part of any Staff Member’s employment contract and may be amended at any time at ENDOIIMENT LTD’s discretion.
Defining Safeguarding

“Safeguarding” refers to measures taken to prevent or respond to harm or risks of harm and to promote the welfare of vulnerable individuals. Safeguarding is particularly important when supporting:
a. Children – individuals under 18.
b. Adults at risk – individuals aged 18+ (England and Wales) or 16+ (Scotland) who have care and/or support needs that make them unable to protect themselves.

This Policy applies to safeguarding risks arising from:
a. ENDOIIMENT LTD’s activities or Staff Members’ conduct; or
b. External individuals or circumstances where Staff Members know, should know, or reasonably suspect risk. -
A Safeguarding Concern is any behaviour or situation that may place a Beneficiary at risk of harm or violate safeguarding commitments.
Key Safeguarding Measures Implemented by ENDOIIMENT LTD

Following local safeguarding arrangements when working with children, including guidance issued by local safeguarding partners.

Following leadership and guidance issued by local Safeguarding Adults Boards when working with adults at risk.

Ensuring Staff Members are trained to identify and report Safeguarding Concerns in line with ENDOIIMENT LTD’s reporting procedures.

Ensuring Staff Members listen to safeguarding concerns raised by Beneficiaries, colleagues, or others with respect, professionalism, and without judgement.

Ensuring that all reported Safeguarding Concerns are managed by the appropriate individuals within ENDOIIMENT LTD.

Implementing clear, accessible, and fair safeguarding procedures, ensuring:
a. Concerns are handled objectively, even if allegations involve Staff Members.
b. Whistleblowing protections (where applicable) are respected. -
Appointing Michael Ajao as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) responsible for managing safeguarding procedures within ENDOIIMENT LTD.

Ensuring safe recruitment processes, including:
a. Completing all relevant pre-employment checks (e.g., DBS checks).
b. Ensuring Staff Members complete safeguarding training before contact with Beneficiaries.
c. Following ENDOIIMENT LTD’s Recruitment Policy. -
Providing safeguarding training appropriate to each Staff Member’s role, including:
a. Recognising signs of abuse.
b. Responding appropriately to disclosures.
c. Using internal reporting procedures.
d. Accessing further resources and guidance. -
Ensuring all safeguarding information is handled securely by:
a. Complying with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
b. Following ENDOIIMENT LTD’s Data Protection and Data Security Policy.
c. Providing data protection training where appropriate.
d. Ensuring Staff know who to contact regarding data protection: currently Eddie Kagutuzi at endoiimentdataprotection@gmail.com.
e. Sharing safeguarding information only when necessary and in the Beneficiary’s best interests. -
Ensuring transparency by:
a. Informing Beneficiaries how safeguarding concerns can be raised.
b. Ensuring all Staff Members understand safeguarding law, ENDOIIMENT LTD’s policies, and their responsibilities. -
Regularly reviewing safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure compliance and suitability for ENDOIIMENT LTD’s operations.
Staff Members’ Responsibilities

All Staff Members are responsible for promoting the safety and wellbeing of Beneficiaries.

Staff Members must follow ENDOIIMENT LTD’s safeguarding commitments appropriate to their role and raise any uncertainties with Michael Ajao.

Staff Members must fully participate in safeguarding training.

Staff Members must never:
a. Engage in or facilitate abuse.
b. Engage in any sexual activity with a child (under 18).
c. Exploit Beneficiaries commercially or otherwise. -
Staff Members must report any Safeguarding Concerns they become aware of, whether involving colleagues, Beneficiaries, or external individuals.
Procedures: Reporting

Staff Members will receive training to identify Safeguarding Concerns.

If a Staff Member identifies a concern, they should:
a. Report to the on-duty safeguarding officer, or
b. Send an email to: endoiiment@gmail.com -
If the Staff Member cannot follow the above procedure (e.g., due to conflict of interest or urgency), they may report the concern in another reasonable manner, including:
a. Reporting to a more senior member of staff.
b. Contacting emergency services or relevant external agencies in cases of immediate risk.
Procedures: Investigation and Response

Reported concerns will be addressed promptly by appropriate individuals in line with ENDOIIMENT LTD’s procedures and safeguarding law.

Staff Members who report concerns will receive appropriate updates, recognising that some information may need to remain confidential.

Staff Members found to have breached this Policy may face disciplinary action in line with ENDOIIMENT LTD’s Disciplinary Procedure.

External referrals (e.g., to police or local authorities) will be made when required and in accordance with law.
